The Water Bureau road that
comes down from
Skyline Blvd to Leif Erikson
Dr. used to continue
on down from Lief Erikson
(you see the old gate there)
into the deep, steep-walled
gulch and up the opposite
wall to Springville Rd.
(you see the gate there, too).
This piece of road was barely
driveable with four-wheel drive
thirty years ago. The "road" became even more aged becoming creased
with deep wrinkles (erosion, that is) and as a road died. Mother
Nature is currently restoring her gulch with slope-stabilizing roots of
lush vegetation. |
