 IF THEN The odds of winning your casino game are one in  100 —> You would be wise to bet.  Winning is a sure thing.  (You probably rigged the game.) The odds of winning your casino game are one in  101 —> Not a very good bet. The game is against you unless winning gets you, at the least, ten times what you anteed into the pot. The odds of winning your casino game are one in  102 —> Terrible odds!  Better find another game. The odds of winning your casino game are one in  103 —> You're getting downright gullible if you play this game. The odds of winning your casino game are one in  104 —> What, me worry! The odds of winning your casino game are one in  105 —> A fool's paradise The odds of winning your casino game are one in  106 —> You're more likely to die in an auto accident during the year. .

HOWEVER

 The odds of winning the big one in a state lottery are about one in  107 -108. Millions of people play the lotteries every year.

 Science is an art of not seeming silly... To someone who sees something we've missed. Mathematics is the science of seeing... Those things we never suspected exist.
